I am error
I have a bunch of broken Atari 2600 joysticks and paddles. Rather than waste time + money fixing them when I already have many working ones, I want to find creative and easy ways to repurpose them. So far I am using 1 joystick as a door stop, and 2 as book ends. I really need an idea on what to do with the 2 broken paddles I have. I can't use them as door handles, anybody got any thoughts? +save2600
Free the paddle cables of the connector, then tie one to a pull chain on any ceiling lamps or fans you may have for a tacky, yet charmingly retro ghetto look. Could also donate the joysticks to someone that wouldn't mind refurbishing with the BEST Electronics gold PCB, etc.
chas10e
I've used cx-40 bases as picture frames thought about making a clock with paddles , but hadn't gotten there yet traded a couple decent knobs & cables for stuff parts-is-parts got pics of the pile ? +Stephen Moss
Perhaps you could use the paddle controllers as enclosures for something that already has a rotary control such as a light dimmer or thermostat.

Nifty ideas, but i'm afraid I lack the skill to do that

+save2600
Donating...ehhh On second thought, if you're so cheap that you need something donated to you, chances are extremely high (to zilch) that you're not going to bother properly refurbishing. I am error
If I ever have a child, I could all the different controllers as a carousel
