I had no idea. What a weird feature. I think I flipped the P1 switch, but clearly not the right thing. That makes a lot more sense than the cart magically dying for no reason. I thought, dusty cart but didn't even notice I'd fixed the switches! Can anyone give me a clue what I'm doing wrong? When I start going around the tower, I always fall in the water. I have no idea how to avoid this. you have to go into the doorway instead of advancing forward. some places you can jump over the hole if the platform falls away. if you step just a little onto it you can test to see if it will fall.
