desiv
If your existing Amiga monitor cable is a DB9 type, all you need is a DB9 to GBS adapter. That is easy to make... desiv
+OLD CS1
I agree. An adaptor all the way. Out of curiosity, what was wrong with the monitors. Did they by chance start making a high-pitch noise and then go blank? I wish I could remember.
Nebulon
I wish I could remember. Well, if you do happen across ones that do that, I watched a guy re-solder the easy-to-access solder points on the flyback transformer's circuit board (I believe he called it a backplane). He had it done in less than 10 minutes and I've been running one of those solidly for over 20 years after the repair. I recall him saying that he used high-temperature solder. nd2003grad
I've still been following this, but I've gotten bogged down with my son being born, you know, those kinds of little details. After watching a certain Youtube video, I have concerns about PAL/NTSC. How is this resolved? I live in NTSC land but I understand the vast majority of software for both this and the C64 are PAL? ?!?!??!? I'm sure you guys know all about this issues and how to deal with it with an A500 (what I'm thinking I need to start with).
