Guitari
I'm actually stuck too getting the correct sequence for the piano, which is a bit embarrassing being a musician.
Matthias
Hello, i am not sure if it is of any help to you (because the screnshots are dark and the description is in german language only), but here is my walktrough: http://www.mdgames.de/philiawalktrough.zip Regards Matthias

Guitari
Ok guys what's the deal with the piano section? There's a trapezium with a dot ABOVE it on the melody in the tower room. So an F and an F sharp but I can't play both together. I've tried the F sharp before and after the F and tried leaving it out altogether. I'm following the walk through at the moment and Google has translated it from German. Any help appreciated. Many thanks.

Guitari
For Puzzle 7, the piano section, the walkthrough says you probably need to combine notes. There's no way to do this that I can find - or is there, please? Guitari
So noone is able to help with this?! I'm sorry I just don't understand it. Why would the clue have two piano notes stacked up when you can't actually play two notes on together on the game?
Matthias
Hello! For Puzzle 7, the piano section, the walkthrough says you probably need to combine notes. There's no way to do this that I can find - or is there, please? Seems that you were fooled by a misleading translation, sorry for this. You don't have to combine notes to play the correct melody, it's the combination of symbols that tells you which notes (piano keys) you have to play. In fact it is just one the one that you have spoken about. To make it more clear: The geometrical figures (circle, triangle, rectangle, trapeziod, etc. ) symbolize the white keys on the keyboard, the proper black keys are defined by the combination of one of the figures with a dot. So the melody shown on the plaque in the tower room requires hitting just one black key, all the other notes are white keys. Hope this helps Matthias Edited December 5, 2016 by Matthias
Guitari
Many thanks Matthias. I know think I understand the thinking behind this puzzle. The sequence of shapes tells us which one black key to use. I'll try this on the jag as soon as I can. Many thanks for this!

Only downside is it takes about 5 loads to get the CD past the menu and onto the gameplay. Wasn't there an issue with this release containing this bug? And Orion sent out replacement discs? I think I need a replacement!
Matthias
Hello! It works! many thanks Matthias. You are welcome Only downside is it takes about 5 loads to get the CD past the menu and onto the gameplay. Wasn't there an issue with this release containing this bug? And Orion sent out replacement discs? I think I need a replacement! The common trick is to make a copy of the Jaguar-CD on your PC, usually the copy works better on the Jaguar, at least if the Jaguar CD is a CD-R. Rick Dangerous
I have beaten Elansar several times but got stuck early on in Philia. Need to give it a go again sometime soon. Has anyone done a video walkthrough? I was actually using a walkthrough but found this game to be more "open" than Elansar, and thus had trouble actually finding the stuff I was looking for sometimes.
