Enjoyed this episode very much!

 

Remember hoping for a game looking like the screenshot in this German catalogue from August 1983...

Oh, not to rain on George's parade, but the Intelivision was NOT the first console to have a pause function -- it was the Channel F!

 

"The Channel F was also the first videogame console to utilize a pause function, via the "Hold" button on the console that would freeze the game (or even speed it up)."

George never claimed Intellivision was the first, just that it was done long before the 5200 even existed.

 

He has no beef with the Channel F.
