I keep toying with the idea of making a Pi handheld emu machine. Seems like it would be fun. There would be a learning curve for me, for sure. Cool though.

I would love one of these in a better form factor, say GBA Micro sized so it could actually be enjoyed by someone with adult-sized fingers.

That is really cool, but it does look a bit tiny for my eyes. What I'm really waiting for is for someone to squeeze Raspberry Pi into a cart that you can stick in your Game Boy Advance SP with the right software on it to make Raspberry Pi load up like a game pak would. Now that would be awesome!

This is cool, but I'm pretty sure there are already several things like it on the market, and most of them are at a decent average human size without being insanely huge.

GameKid - The best contender here. It's a bit expensive, but it's easily the best without having to do much effort to assemble.

 

Pixel Vision - If you just have money to burn...

 

Pocket PiGRRL - These site has a lot of RaspPi projects you can do... but they're all fairly expensive (and just the kits with no Raspberry Pi).

I'm waiting for my GameKid, shouldn't be much longer now. It seems to have a pleasing OG GameBoy "brick" heft to it.
