I am looking to flesh out my font collection. I am particularly interested in the companion packages from Texaments and JP Software for TI-Artist and the Page Pro 99 packages from Asgard.

I have quite a few fonts but you can never have too many. Does anybody have any they'd like to share or sell?

Or does anybody know of a site that's got some to download?

There seem to be some at whtech (ASGard/, JPSoftware/ and Texaments/)

Are any of those fonts (that you have, want or find) monospaced 8x8 or 6x8 ?

:)

Damn, I always seem to forget WHT for stuff like this. I'll check 'em out - thanks for the wake up call.

I have the CTIUG book encyclodedia of graphics/fonts and it shows many for TI-Artist that I don't have and a few fo Page Pro.

As far as being monospaced - I have no idea.

Necroposting…

I don’t know how to get started with making a TI-Artist font.

I’m looking for documentation for making the font files, for TI-Artist, or any other useful TI-99/4A format (PagePro? Graphic?)

I last worked with TI-Artist in 1988 and that was with instance files, exported to my own programs.

I see the TIA disks are here. A lot more disks of fonts in other vendor folders.

ftp://ftp.whtech.com/emulators/pc99/pc99 dsk collection/Vendors/Inscebot/

I have written a translator (C) to read fonts of TMS34010/20 graphics libraries, and export them as BMP files.

The fonts are “official” TI commissioned fonts like Corpus Christi, Austin, and so on. Porting them seems like a natural. Most are large, but there are some 11 point fonts that fill 8x8 chars.

the next step is to add more export formats, like TIA and Magellan.

(For Magellan support, maybe the tool could export an image of a string you want to print.)

Help please?

I am unsure what you are looking to do here...

Are you just wanting to convert those existing fonts into Magellan files, or what?

If you are looking for how to do bitmapped fonts in general-- well.. Just start at the beginning of your character codepage, and work down.  Be sure to keep tabs on where you ascender, descender, and whitespace are, etc.

These are bitmapped fonts (proportional and fixed width) from 1987-1990. I have them decoded in memory, so I can do anything with the bitmap.

Those that fit in 8x8 will be useful in CHARA1 form and Magellan.

Magellan will be easy.

Are you looking for font editors for TIA and Page Pro?

Not editors primarily, though that would be helpful to test loading my files.

What I need is some documentation of the formats. Soon I’ll just dive in and reverse engineer it…
