The Immortal John Hancock (SWLOVINST here on AtariAge) walks us through his amazing NEO GEO console and game collection.  He covers the AES (Advanced Entertainment System) and arcade MVS (Multi Video System), plus the differences between the two cartridges, controllers, accessories and even the NEO GEO X GOLD and rare NEO GEO CD...

Anybody else collecting for this system? And if so, who is your stock broker? ;)

I started buying MVS many years ago before the prices went up since I had an arcade cabinet. I would typically pay $20-$30 a game. People weren't doing the consolized MVS then. They are more now but still not that bad for most games. If you try to buy the complete MVS kits things get expensive since operators didn't keep that stuff. There are a lot of good games available for it. It is worth it. :-)

Hi Metal Jesus,

I'm a gamer/collector of the Neo-Geo AES and have a Neo-Geo thread here on the forums. Here's some of my AES titles that I have that were posted here and on e-magazines on Twitter and Facebook. Love the Neo-Geo since I was a child. One of my favorite units of all time.

Keep up the great work as usual. I watch your channel regularly.

Anthony...

Great set of homebrew games. I am missing a few. Really expensive to pick those up second hand. I am regretting passing on Neo XYX and Knight's Chance initially.

Yep neo geo is crazy stuff, I bought sengoku 3 when it was a scorned terrible game for 130, and now you'd be lucky to get it for 700 dollars,  Annoying that mvs went nuts too, that used to be the cheap option
