delvis
I ran an Atari BBS in 1986-1987 in Houston, Texas area. It was called Atari Smallfry. Around 1998 I created a webpage with the same name. Mainly I just listed links to all the sites out there at the time. Since then I periodically check the links and see who is still out there. In my early days I was an 8-bit user and later the 16/32 with the different ST models. I am sure there may be many new sites and I know many have gone away. http://dgmccool.tripod.com/page2.htm Delvis
Dmitry
Hey Delvis I followed that route a bit too. I mean I went from Atari 8-bit to Atari ST. I jumped on it right away in 1985. (well technically my brother bought an St in 85, and I got a 130XE...but no matter, I shoved him aside, as necessary - I got my own ST in 87). But now I'm primarily interested in 8-bit. The reason being - the Atari 800 of 1979 was awesome tech. The Atari ST was power without the price. I would not have guessed it then, but in terms of securing a place in history, it's better to be cutting edge Anyway, so I have many years of magazines, programs and articles from the 8-bit era that I never read. Turns out a lot of cool things happened in 1986, 87, 88 And today, in 2016 for that matter Thanks for sharing your website. delvis
Dmitry, Yes I did the 8 bit then the ST. At one time I was running the 130XE, 1040ST, Apple "Fat" mac, and a Zenith PC in my man cave at the same time. (Late 80's) Settled into PC for work reasons but kept the other stuff to play with. Did a big house cleaning around 2006 and gave away to a local Atari group tons of my stuff. I only have the Mega ST stuff now and some software for it.
