JoeTennies
So, I picked up a 2-port 5200 on Ebay. I have 2 controllers. I fixed one up and it reads the 0-500 K when I move the stick. I've traced it back to the POKEY chip, and I see those numbers at the POKEY. So I've moved the calibration pot from 1 extreme to the other, but there was no change to the direction. Is it possible the POKEY is bad? The sound and controller buttons work. I got similar results on both controller ports. And I don't have a diagnostics cart. Is there something else that I'm missing that it could be? Thanks, Joe
amiman99
I had one 5200 that had similar controller issues and it was the POKEY chip, replace it and see if it works.
