AAA177
Is there a resource on Atari Age -- or anywhere else -- that will indicate what catalog one would expect from a specific Atari 2600 game that is unopened? Thanks.
Albert
That is an interesting question, one for which I do not have an answer. ..Al
+save2600
Might be able to make some fairly educated guesses by year, month of release, title and box variants? Could then compare what games are listed/not listed in the catalogs. Taking a quick look at my catalog stacks and in general:Red narrow: number of games not indicated on front (C012737-02) 7/78 (20 games listed on back)Yellow narrow: number of games not indicated on front (C014356 rev c) 1979 (32 games listed in rear)Blue narrow: number of games not indicated on front (C014356 rev d) 1980 (38 games listed in rear) All of my catalogs (red/org/grn) from '81 have the number of releases printed right on the front of their covers: Burnt Orange: 42 (C016725 rev a) 1981 Orange: 43 (C016725 rev b) 1981Green: 43 (C016725 rec c) 1981Red: 45/49 (C016725 rev d/e respectively) 1981Super early narrow catalogs did not indicate on the front how many games were inside.I remember some of my silver label releases BITD having the Atari Stars/Supporting Cast catalogs that doubled as foldout posters too of course. (C021776 rev a) 1983 Same with the late 80's red label releases as they too had catalogs of the foldout type. One side had the Atari Art and the other had the Atari Advantage point program with a listing of games, accessories, etc. (C034003 rev a) 1987
