lucifershalo
I have a Coco 3 and I am looking for the best way (easiest) to load games? I heard about the COCOsDsc and Drivewire.... thanks
mindlord
Both are solid solutions. I use drive wire personally for the added features like "printing." But that does mean having a PC nearby for serving files. Cocosdc would likely be considered the easier solution. random_rodder
CoCo SDC should be considered the most compatible solution since it will load software DriveWire cannot. Some software did not use standard DSKCON routines and talked to the hardware directly. CoCoSDC is a hardware floppy emulator and does not have the incompatibility issue that DriveWire has in this regard.
Charlie_
I prefer an authentic disk drive and controller.
RangerG
The CoCo SDC is easier to use (to me).

killersquirel
How many .dsk images can you put on an sd card at the same time? Can you put them in different folders that are easily navigated on the CoCo?
Briza1
I prefer an authentic disk drive and controller. lolz Chaz. mate don't we all. nothing beats the old clunking drives heads moving back and forth. just finding decent floppies that do not leave gunk on the floopy heads is the problem now. I have ordered a SDC which with any luck will allow me to archive my remaining floppies and then no more having to worry about floppies getting damaged..

I am waiting for someone to design a GUI menu system will make it so much better

The CoCoSDC will read FAT16 and FAT32 cards, so you can get a Whole Lot of Images on a Card, but there is no Subdirectory Support, so you are going to get a lot of Files to look through.... MarkO
pretty sure there is a crude directory type system... I am waiting for someone to design a GUI menu system will make it so much better Being that the User can issue a "DIR -" to read the FAT file names, you think it should be possible to write a Menu Program that could read ALL the Files on the SD Card and present them to be mounted as Disk #1.
