I'll kick things off with 4,550.

That background noise gets irritating after about, oh, 4 seconds.

Getting on the board with a slightly lower 4,400.

An interesting variation of the maze game genre, but a little bit more polish would probably have been good. Funny... When I first saw the name "Answer Software", I thought we have stumbled across a weird christian game company. Then I checked the manual and realized: Just another weird Space story... Gotta love the Atari and its Space stories.

(edit) Are there actually christian games for the Atari apart from Red Sea Crossing? I mean, there's plenty of porn games. Need a counterweight :).

Music Machine, though it's not really obvious until you read the manual.

Arkyology was finished but never released:

Up to 6,800

I know many of you will be tempted after a week of playing Malagai, but don't buy this copy from ebay. It's fake.

How can you tell? I believe you, but what is it that tells you it's fake?

A few things. First, it's in an Atari shell with a separate end label. The real Malagai has a one-piece wraparound label. Also the Malagai logo is wrong. Whoever made it just used a white drop shadow and didn't add the red lines to create the 3-D look (it's especially bad on the end label). The Answer Software font is wrong too. Probably just picked the first cursive font they found. The original game uses ( c ) for the copyright, the fake uses ©. Lastly, most of the other items this seller has for sale are repros of rare or unreleased games. Even if this copy looked authentic, I'd be wary of it just because of that.

Jake or S.Baz, please put me in my place in the overall standings. I should be one below wickeycolumbus, not above.

Don't know why I'm so stinky at this game! Will hopefully have time for a few more attempts before Sunday evening.

Interesting game.  Definite lack of polish, but there is actually a good game under there!   I've never heard of this one, or Answer Software.

I could probably do better with a little more practice, but not sure if I'll get back to it or not.  I'd actually like to play more, but we'll see...

I was getting extra lives at about the same rate I was losing them.  Could have gotten farther but my ride to work showed up, had to cut it short.

this definitely could have been a better game if they'd have just spent a little more time on it.

Really like this game.

The hit detection annoys me but the strategy is good.

Staying close to the safe zone and waiting for the alien to be the best position is my best tip.
