Tangentg
I recently got Stella and previously, I've been using Javatari. I found that some games are emulated better on one and others better on another. Games like Missile Command arcade have some of the graphics glitched: the crosshair becomes like a v shape, for example and some games like Space Rocks and Game of Life don't load on it at all. Perhaps a prominent example is Cosmic Ark, where the star field becomes just a line (I assume cause the emulator cannot emulate the bug that's used to generate the star field well enough). There's also a glitch with the health count for Skeleton Plus, though I'm not sure whether that's because it's a bug in the original program or the emulator, but the counter becomes unreadable characters after the skeleton touches you some of the times when I played, and once it's messed up, it doesn't go back to numbers. As for games like Lady Bug and Bumper Bash, Javatari definitely emulates them like they're supposed to be like. With Stella, the purple flickering seems to have completely disappeared (though if you pause at the right time, you could see it there), and this is with Phosphor (I never really understood that name though I know what it does) off. It bugs me since the arcade version has purple walls, and the 2600 homebrew has it too (though it's flickering), but on Stella, it completely disappears. As for Bumper Bash, there's an extra bit of the right paddle on Stella near the right drain, but that isn't the case on Javatari. Plus, it seems that neither online versions have mouse support for analog games, nor do they have support for AtariVox. The downloaded version of Stella allows mouse control for Paddle and I assume also the Driving controllers, though I can't seem to get it to work for the Trackball and AmigaMouse controllers. And Stella supports AtariVox's score-saving function, though seemingly not the voice synthesis, as I've already set the output to stereo (and plugged in earphones) on Stella and yet I still can't hear voices on Juno First, but the score saves. Thomas Jentzsch
Most of what you describe does not happen with Stella for years (e.g. Cosmic Ark stars). Which version of Stella are you using?
Paulo Peccin
Javatari is a little less accurate than Desktop Stella, for some known, extremely rare tricks like the one in Cosmik Ark. That is, for performance reasons (more critical when you are running inside a WebBrowser), some quirks are still not emulated 100%.

Sorry, the things I mentioned in the first paragraph are supposed to apply to Javatari. Seems I didn't make that clear.
