jblenkle
Actually, upon further investigation, a shipping label has only been created...it says: A shipping label has been prepared for your item at 7:52 am on December 17, 2016 in ROUND ROCK, TX 78664. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Me too.

This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. I brought a large batch of packages to the post office at noon today (Saturday). Your package was indeed shipped if I printed your postage at 7:52am, assuming that is my local time. Since then, I have shipped another large batch of Opcode orders (working on them from about 2pm through 11pm), and will continue to do so tomorrow. All of these packages will be dropped off at the post office Monday morning. ..Al
SiLic0ne t0aD
Al, I still need to pay for my copy of Penguin Adventure L.E. I was hoping it would be possible to use part of my AA gift certificate and then pay the remaining balance via PayPal. I sent a message about this but never heard back yet. Please let me know. You can purchase the game in the store with your gift certificate and I'll make sure you get a Special Edition cartridge. Make sure to use the gift certificate in the "Gift Certificate" field and not the "Coupon" field that appears first. ..Al

128Kgames
Received Penguin Land and Gradius today, thanks Albert for getting them to the post office on Saturday. Opened the box just to check them out but then off to the Wife they went for wrapping and to put under the tree. Corny I know, but collecting puts a dent in our budget year round so the timing on this was perfect as the last thing we need is more money spent on me. That being said the only question I have is what makes these LE versions LE? I don't see anything on the box to differentiate it from say a "regular version", but I also didn't open the boxes up either (Albert has them in clear bags with the AA sticker seal, like all the other AA shipments). Is it the packaging that is supposed to set them apart? So at some point these will be sold in regular boxes (or maybe the type from their color line?). Honestly I don't remember now what OPCODE said was LE about the LE editions anymore, sorry, maybe they can fill me in. Looking forward to playing these on the 25th! bradd1978
I recieved an email from Opcode about my Gradius LE, I never recieved a refund like most so I assume Opcode is shipping mine direct. The email wanted my address confirmation saying it was ready to ship but haven't got any tracking, etc yet. Thought maybe Eduardo could chime in if the copies they are direct shipping have gone out? ?

jblenkle
Hey Albert...where exactly are these games being shipped from? When I looked at the tracking yesterday, it said a label had been created in Round Rock, TX...today when I looked at the tracking, it said the item arrived at the USPS facility in Jersey City, NJ. If that's the case it's going the wrong direction. I live in California. Just took a look at your order, and the address printed for the package matches your address in California, and that's the correct tracking number. With the high volume of packages in the USPS system right now, it would not surprise me at all that some packages end up getting routed in the wrong direction. I'll keep an eye on this one to see what happens with it. ..Al

Albert
Thanks...nothing surprises me though where the post office is involved!!! Agreed, I've seen stuff like this before. Albert
And the post office wonders why people do use them anymore! Well, judging by how ridiculously busy they were today, I think plenty of people are using them for shipping packages..
jblenkle
It's also possible because of some quirk in flight scheduling that it had to go to New Jersey first to catch a flight back to California. That wouldn't surprise me either...typical post office inefficiency. Agreed, I've seen stuff like this before. NIAD
It's also possible because of some quirk in flight scheduling that it had to go to New Jersey first to catch a flight back to California. That wouldn't surprise me either...typical post office inefficiency. Joe Santulli/Digital Press has some operatives working at Al's post office and there's a certain % of packages that get redirected to Joe's store in New Jersey. opcode
Here is what happened. Months ago I bought tickets to Brazil to spend the holidays with the wife. Back then we were estimating that the games would be shipping November worst case. Well, I received the packaging just a few days before leaving, so I had very little time to assemble and ship everything. For most direct orders we had, I had no option but to leave to a friend in the US to ship them. So he will be shipping games for the next couple of weeks. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and delay, but again, that was the best I could do in the very little time I had before leaving to Brazil. Hopefully everybody will receive their games before the end of the year.
slab0meat
Here at work, we ship UPS a lot, and the past two weeks or so, many packages are arriving late, some going to states and towns nowhere near their destinations. I imagine the USPS is the same way. But if that one happens to get delivered to NJ, make it further south to my house, I'll take it.
killersquirel
I got both Penguin Adventure and Gradius yesterday. I was shocked because I got the shipping notification on Saturday and packages coming to Hawaii are often hit or miss. I was expecting it either today or tomorrow, so I was super happy with my holiday surprise. The packaging on these games are OUTSTANDING! Eduardo, you both did an amazing job with this! The high gloss instructions, the box, artwork, and design are all top notch! The games: Penguin Adventure - I've always loves this game since the first time I played it on the MSX collection on the Sega Saturn. In fact, I initially thought it was Antarctic Adventure and brushed passed it several times before trying it out. Once I realized this was a sequel and what they did with it I was hooked. Great soundtrack, fun and challenging game play. Lots of cool secrets! This game has it all. Opcode did an amazing job on porting this to the ColecoVision! I totally recommend this game! I only wish that the cartridge would have saved the high score like Gradius does. Gradius - I first played this game in 1987 when I bought it for the NES. I was immediately hooked to the game play and challenge that the game offered. After playing this game on the NES for years, I eventually played both the arcade and MSX versions of the title. I loved all versions for what they were and what they did for this style of gaming. Opcode's version is no exception. The options, the graphics, and the game play are all top notch in this version. Where this version shines over other home versions is the fact that it saves the high score to the cartridge. This feature alone will lead to many years of fun battling it out to get the high score challenge. The addition of the Japanese level and hidden bonus levels (of which I haven't found yet, although I think I saw a clue for one my last play through) make this version an instant classic. Another highly recommended title to add to the ColecoVision! All in all, I'm super excited for Opcode's premium (and color) lines. What I would love to see in the future is all premium titles having some sort of save to the cartridge feature, and possible F18A upgrades to color, graphics, and scrolling. I will buy all future games with no hesitation. Thanks for making these amazing games and looking forward to what's coming in the future!
AtariBrian
I thought that Penguin Adventure was going to also save high scores . Actually aren't all new arcade titles going to save high scores ? By the way , is there extra bonuses items/material included with these special editions ? I remember him/her saying there would be extras other than just the different colored shell .
InfraMan
Holy cow... I just received my games a few moments ago, and I am completely blown away! Pictures do not do justice to just how awesome these new boxes are. Fantastic work all-around, I can't wait to fire the games up later tonight!
