Got a rare CX-10 1977 Atari joystick w/ Grabberball @a fleamarket for $10

Yes- it really happened! I have never run across one of these in quite a few years of going to various game stores, thrift stores, and flea markets- same with the Grabber ball (which actually does give a better feel to the 2600 joystick in my opinion).

Congrats on the find! It's not perfect for everything, but the CX-10 is, as far as I'm concerned, as good as it gets for the VCS. All the things I love about the CX-40, but with all the things I love about more comfortable third-party sticks. I had to get some DeOxIt and a toothbrush under the contacts, but mine have worked like a charm since that good cleaning.

 

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the feel of it once you've had a chance to break it in. Have fun!

Nice. Hard to find in wild. I also many years ago found a CX-40 at salvation army store for 10 bucks.

Also pause at exactly 3 minutes and 50 seconds. Looks like the rubber is out of place and the bottom right side.

$10 must be the magic number on CX10s. That's what I paid for the pair I found at Goodwill 10-ish years ago.
