strudders
I know there is thread on what people have been playing lately but I wanted to start off another with a 'diary' format. I'm interested in the details of your Atari session. What did you play and in what order. Were you alone or with family/friends ? Did you have some tunes on - if so, what ? Did you have some snacks/drinks ? Etc etc I'll make a start: August 7th 2016 Fancied some loud music and arcade action. Weather was hot and kids were driving me crazy so I took myself off to the 'man cave'. Blasted out some Red Hot Chili Peppers. Seemed fitting to let some steam off and loosen up. Played Galaxian first. My go-to shooter. Didn't get near my high score as a series of foolish mistakes (getting caught in corners) ended my game. Next up I popped in Ms Pacman and got a couple of hundred off my high score and I wasn't really trying. I find I play any form of Pacman better if I don't stress. Last up was a nice easy game of Asteroids on game 1. I just kept the music loud and blasted rocks till the score rolled. Felt much happier after. Job done. Thanks Atari.
Gray Defender
August 7, 2016 Okay I'll play along. Had lunch today at a place out here called Great Kahn's BBQ, although mine had no meat, except for the juice on the grill lol. Pulled some crab grass and weeds in the heat and came in to play some Atari 2600, alone, no music. I plugged up my Edladdin Supreme 78 and my harmony cartridge. First up, one of my go to games: Missile Command. Played in difficulty A, final score 38,400. Next up, I played dintari pac-man (not the latest build). Made it just past the first intermission, final score 11,840. Next up, Defender. Both difficulty switches in A , final score 29,400. And finally, a quick game of Asteroids. Once I flipped the score, I stopped playing. In all I played for about an hour and had loads of fun…
