Dauber
For those of you who haven't yet heard episode 36 of Pie Factory Podcast, of course. Thursday, August 25, Friday, August 26, and Saturday, August 27 -- Arcade, Video & Game Room Expo in Rosemont, IL -- details here: http://do312.com/events/2016/8/25/arcade-video-game-room-expo-2016 Sunday, August 28 -- Underground Retrocade's Summer of Games Finale -- I don't see this on their web site, but it's on the Facebook page. I can tell you this much: - Every Wednesday throughout the summer, Underground Retrocade has been unveiling a new addition to the gaming floor. Yesterday's was AfterBurner. (And I'm thrilled to see that they've also added Mousetrap, Lady Bug, Tapper, and Crazy Climber, among others that I don't recall off the top of my head.) 8/28 they'll unveil the final addition of the summer. Part of me hopes it's TInkle Pit, although part of me hopes it'll be Pac-Man & Chomp-Chomp. - IIRC, there will be a screening of Man Vs. Snake in the post-crash section (that is, upstairs) - Guest appearances by Joel West, Tim McVey, Billy Mitchell, and Walter Day I'll for sure be going on 8/28. I'll for sure NOT be going to the Rosemont event. (Too busy!)

Dauber
Okay, got home from the Underground Retrocade event a couple of hours ago. Got to talk with Billy Mitchell for a while. I can now say from first-hand experience: Billy is TOTALLY not the guy portrayed in King of Kong. Really, really nice guy, great story teller, charming sense of humor. True pleasure to talk to him.
