timdu
I was on the Toys R Us website this morning and I noticed that they have the Atari Flashback 7 for pre-order... Oct.1 is the ship date. $44.99 http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=95653706&cp=&parentPage=search Will you get one? I may wait until Black Friday for possible deals... -Tim
Hoessi666
Here in Germany the Flashback (except for the first one) are hard to get and if, then very expensive! But even if they come across the Ocean in good Numbers and a reasonable Price I probably wouldn't buy one, because there's no SD-Card-Slot in it. I was hoping for such a Model, but am quite disappointed now. The ATGames-Handhelds have SD-Card-Slots, why not the Consoles for the TV? Can't be a Copyright-Issue, 'cause then the Handhelds wouldn't have a Slot either, would they?
Kokovec69
No SD card slot on the console? I guess I'll have to get the portable! Edited September 10, 2016 by Kokovec69

S1500
Doesn't seem to be too much different than the prior Flashbacks. Just more like a continued run.

Lauren Tyler
I noticed it says 'Features absolute konami titles' (sic) I know Frogger was made by Konami, but are there other Konami titles on there too?
Bill Loguidice
I noticed it says 'Features absolute konami titles' (sic) I know Frogger was made by Konami, but are there other Konami titles on there too? Not this time. Only Frogger: http://armchairarcade.com/perspectives/2016/09/13/atari-flashback-7-2016-official-game-list/ Some retailers are going off old info. With that said, AtGames should be working with Konami on a more in-depth basis going forward, so there's quite a bit to look forward to, and not only as it relates to their Atari 2600 stuff.
StephenJ
Just noticed on the Target listing under [item Details]... http://www.target.com/p/atari-flashback-7-classic-game-console/-/A-51236334?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Video%2BGames%2BShopping&adgroup=SC_Video%2BGames&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9007925&gclid=CJWV4IzIlM8CFYJbhgodcl0DtA&gclsrc=aw.ds "...Data Storage Capacity: 512MB Hard Drive Capacity..." S1500
S-Video would be fitting for something on Atari. It's ahead, yet behind...
davidbrit2
512MB would hold a LOT of Atari VCS games! Especially considering my Harmony cart has a 128 MB card with the entire library of retail, hacks, and homebrew, and still has about 90 MB to spare.

Flojomojo
It seems to be trickling out. Target shows the Atari Flashback 7 as available tomorrow with overnight shipping, but not yet available in stores. http://www.target.com/p/atari-flashback-7-classic-game-console/-/A-51236334 The portable looks to have been pushed back until November 8, at least according to the Gamestop preorder page. http://www.gamestop.com/electronics/atari-flashback-portable-ultimate-classic-portable-player/133612
Bill Loguidice
Just got confirmation that Staples did indeed release inventory ahead of the October 1 release date, so it's official, although not necessarily ideal. I'm checking on the portables as well.

Sent from my non beer holding hand. It's looking like there are no deluxe versions. Also, the portables are still on track for November, not October like the consoles (broken street date or not). Bill Loguidice
To update the update, the Atari Flashback 7, Sega Classic Console, and Sega portable should all be out on or before October 1. The Atari Flashback Portable will not be until some time in November.
timdu
I too saw the the Atari Flashback 7 & Sega Classic Console on an endcap display at my local STAPLES store this weekend. Each one is wrapped with one of those anti-theft devices around the box so no one walks off with it out of the store. $59 each. Yikes! I refuse to pay that much $ for it. I will patiently wait until these are on clearance.
