+GoldLeader
Or there's my other idea for a band called Lead Zeppelin... That could be confusing though as some people might think I meant the element, when I mean the Zeppelin at the head of the column...

kidnicky
Without wading through this whole thread,I sold off all my 2600 collection last year, due to never using it because of the phono Jack connection and the thin power cord. Now I'm itching to play the games again. I'm sure the infrared controllers are terrible but I have Genesis controllers and can easily get CX40s anyway. How is the emulation of the games? Is it close enough for horseshoes?

Flojomojo
I second that, it's plenty good. And now we know what the new one will be called, I was just wondering about that. "Atari Flashback 8," I never would have guessed.

BillLoguidice
Hell dish more info when hes at liberty to do so. NDAs suck ftr. Definitely. I just finished writing around 100 pages of instructions for the higher end model. It's looking like it will be pretty cool as it continues to come together. The higher end model is still being worked on, though, at this point, but should be locked down soon.

There's a little speculation thread here. Bill follows all the Flashback sections actively and drops hints all the time. It sounds like we are in for a treat this fall (the Flashbacks have come out seasonally for almost a decade now) http://atariage.com/forums/topic/259236-2017-flashback-speculation-thread/
Mulletino
It's close enough: http://armchairarcade.com/perspectives/2016/09/30/review-atari-flashback-7-atgames-2016-version-includes-videos/ Just a heads-up that the 8 will be out in September and will come in two versions, including an HD one. Good to know, Target in Australia are currently selling the Flashback 7 for AU$89 (as well as the latest AT@Games Sega Megadrive for the same price) and i was tempted by the Flashback, but will hold off for an HDMI enabled one.
