oyamafamily
Atari 7800 (ProSystem Emulator for Windows PC) Xmas Time - 9,000 on Expert Mode This score is to show my strategy to JIN, who is a new HighScore.com member. Each time I post a score which will result on winning the FIRST TROPHY, I set small scores just to give a chance to others beat me, specially when the contests occur. I did this during the last HighScore.com Official Contests realized in 2016. Some examples of small scores which I set at HighScore.com and resulted on winning my FIRST trophies: Asteroids - Game 4, Difficulty A (Atari 2600 Emulated) - 5,050 Conquest of Mars - Default Game Mode, Difficulty A (Atari 2600 Emulated) - 2,000 Space Invaders - Game 16, Difficulty A (Atari 2600 Emulated) - 30 Space Jockey - Game 1, Difficulty A (Atari 2600 Emulated) - 470 Countermeasure - Skill 9 (Atari 5200 Emulated) - 1,500 Keystone Kapers - Skill 16 (Atari 5200 Emulated) - 800 Pac-Man - Strawberry Start (Atari 5200 Emulated) - 10,050 Astro Fighter - Easy / 3 Lives (Atari 7800 Emulated) - 1,000 Gremlins - Default Settings (Atari 5200 Emulated) - 8,638 Robotron 2084 - Level 5 (Atari 5200 Emulated) - 13,950
Skippy B. Coyote
A very good strategy Oyamafamily! I can see that by getting lots of First Trophy awards with small scores in addition to your high score trophies you've been able to build quite a lot of points on HighScore.com. I will have to look to see if there are any games I like that are still open for First Trophy score submissions. In the meantime, today I finally got a real Atari 7800 system! It is a composite video modified Atari 7800 from Video61, which is actually a local company who's warehouse is only half an hour away from where I live. The system was in gorgeous brand new condition and the video signal looks beautiful with no RF interference and bright vibrant colors. I did have to adjust the settings on my Sony WEGA Trinitron CRT TV to get the colors looking right, but that was as easy as just setting the picture mode on the TV to Standard and then turning up the Color and Picture options to their maximum values. In any case, once I got it set up I decided to break in the new system with a few games of Centipede! Centipede on the 7800 is really the only game I've ever played that I think controls better with Atari's CX-80 Trak-Ball set in joystick mode than a standard joystick or game pad. It definitely feels like this game was programmed with the Trak-Ball in mind, and I had a great time playing it.

Skippy B. Coyote
It's Christmas morning and I just put then new Edladdin Super Twin 78 to good use by doing a 3 and a half hour high score run in Robotron 2084 for the Atari 7800 on Intermediate, rolling the score at 10,000,000. Robotron 2084 (Atari 7800, Intermediate): 10,003,600 https://youtu.be/sfD9t4TVqgw I'm happy to have done it, but I can safely say that I never want to do that again. Try to tie my score on 7800 Pole Position II, Test Track Variation! Thank you Oyama! I am proud of my Robotron 2084 Intermediate score, but I think that I'm even happier about the new high score that I set for Solar Striker on the Game Boy today! Solar Striker (Game Boy): 488,900 Solar Striker is one of my all time favorite games on any system so I was really pleased to have set a new personal best high score in it this morning.

MythicalCheesePirate
Karate Champ on NES with my score of half a million. The game started to glitch out at this point, but I might try again when the weather is keeping me indoors just to see how long it takes to hit the million. Or if I am really bored some day, I might try to roll the board. This game is not overly exciting. But I happen to have it. So why not? haha!

oyamafamily
2600 Defender (from ProSystem VCS Console): Game 1-AA - 243,000 Game 8-AA - 28,800 For this session I set Gleen Sampson's score (241,800) as a goal to beat this. Once I reached this goal on Game 1 / Difficulty A, I commited suicide immediately in order to avoid scoring more and more points. But I know I am able to score more than 1 million points on 2600 Defender. Check out Gleen Sampson's evidence: http://www.highscore.com/scores/Atari2600/Defender/40072
