The summer of 1995 I had just gotten out of elementary school. I was the last class where elementary school was in the 6th grade. In the year 1995-6, it got moved down to 5th grade being the last one. Which was lucky for me because I don't think i could have survived middle school as a 6th grader. But anyway, back to 1995. After my moving away from where I spent my first 11 years of my life, I was actually lucky enough to get a few new friends. And I wrote this little newsletter called Big Belch News for them. You've heard me talking about Big Belch News before, but I stopped making them. Because it was horrible trying to think up of two almost-solid pages' worth of text. And it ended up what I wasn't going for anyway. Well, yesterday, I ran across my old Big Belch News newsletters I had wrote in 1995. I think they were quite well-written for a 12-year-old. So I decided now that I am all grown up, I should revisit my youth and revive the thing yet again. So I made this. After 21 years, I had got an entirely new set of friends thanks to the internet, so I decided they should benefit from my writing as well. So here is the 10th issue of Big Belch News: The way I meant it to look. And you can read it here: http://atari2600land.com/bigbelchnews/bigbelchnewsnumber10.pdf
So anyway, in the summer of 1995, I went on vacation to Sunriver Oregon. To this day, it remains the easternmost part of the US I have ever been at. (Yeah, I know, I don't travel.) Man I want to relive my childhood again. But without the icky school part. I would have taped episodes of MST3k and Nickelodeon more. Why didn't I? I had a VCR. I should have taken advantage of it! So that concludes the trip down memory lane to the summer of 1995.
