Time again for the Houston Arcade Expo!

When:

  • Friday, November 11th from noon - 2am
  • Saturday, November 12th from 10am - 2am

Where:

  • Houston Northwest Crowne Plaza
    12801 NORTHWEST FREEWAY
    HOUSTON, TX 77040

That's the same location as the last few years, where Pinemont crosses US 290.

We've been making really good progress on the Harmony/Melody Bus Stuffing driver, so I plan to update my presentation to include more information about it.

My presentation will be Saturday at 7pm, hope to see you there!

I'm pretty sure I'll attend, and I'm pretty sure I'll lug at least an Apple IIe along. I still haven't signed up yet, partly because I'm notorious for procrastinating and partly because I've been dealing with some health drama. But things are looking up and I've already pencilled in days off from work, so, hoping to see y'all!

  • 4 weeks later...

Getting my consoles set up for next weekend. In the past I've used these Cable IDs:

and attached them to the paddles:

as it helps people quickly figure out which corner they're playing:

However, they have a habit of sliding down the cord so people still had trouble figuring out their corner. So this year I picked up some mailing seals, and printed the color of each shield on them:

Spicewire, those cable IDs are a great idea! Looking at the game list, I see you're bringing two 2600's and a 7800, among other things. I wonder if I should bring one of those along too, in case Albert doesn't make it this year. I'm committed for three systems, but I think I have enough room to squeeze four in my car. I could bring a second 7800 and even some Genesis controller adapters.

Al's not planning to attend this year.

I'll see about shoehorning a 7800 and another box of games in my car, then. I'll invest in some stickers too so we can keep track of what's whose, in case cartridges start intermingling.

Albert, you will be missed!

I've got the INTV III packed up and ready.

I made a three page printout of the overlays for the games I'm bringing, and laminated them. I figured it was much easier than keeping up with overlays.

Here's a preview...

Nice work!
