Gray Defender
Recently, one of my coworkers gave me this diamond in the rough. I thought it would be neat to try to clean it up and see if it was still working.
carlsson
Nice result! However it is almost like it lost some of its value when you cleaned it up to look like just about any other C64 of its vintage.
Gray Defender
True, but I don't know anybody that would even bring that into their house in that condition, but I totally understand that sentimentality.

+OLD CS1
I am with cleaning it up... crud on a Commodore is nothing like patina on vintage metals.

Retro-Z
Nice! It's always great to see a neglected classic get cleaned up and put back into action. About 18 months ago I dug a Kaypro II and a Commodore VIC-20 out of a shed. My luck wasn't quite so good when it came time to fire them up.
