No need to do that! People are just a little sensitive because the game hasn't gone on sale yet and there are individuals in the community who make bootleg copies of homebrew games. But there are a few copies out there, and obviously you have one of them. Glad you are enjoying the game, and I look forward to making it available very soon for many others. :)

..Al

Don't worry my friend. I will only buy these from you. I ignore the bootlegs being sold on interweb. I always prefer to buy direct form atariage. Peace. Edited by Stun Runner 87

You got to just love that this is new tech that will be extremely difficult for pirate sales. That's also one of the reasons I like the ARM implementation of the DPC+ chip.

People will still do things that aren't right or downright criminal for money.

I like the chip label "Bentley Bear 7800 Bob D" BTW.

So I can put BBCQ on a Mateos, chop that down to completely fit in a 7800 cart. Make a hoser label and box. That could net hundreds in an auction now.

But in a short time it will be available here, at the bargain AtariAge price, forever.

The end.

P. S. Get well soon CPUWIZ! You do great work for retro gaming!!!

What a story! Completely missed this news as I binged played Zelda BOTW for like four days straight, and finally taking a break from it to check the going-ons in the forums.

We still don't know the mystery person who gave out their copy but that should probably be kept to the parties privy to the info, no need to publicly shame people.

Also while I think it is IMO a douche move for a person to immediately flip a game on the open market, for profit, especially if the game was a gift and not paid for, the fact of the matter is we do live in a capitalist economy governed by free market, so if something is worth more to one person than another, and an item exchanges hands, who are we to judge?

I also have the Bentley Bear ROM (compiled for Concerto, although mine doesn't really work that well rendering most games corrupted or unplayable). What if any are the differences between the proto, public ROM, and final release?
