rednakes1
When I was a small kid there was a boy who used to always bring his Intellivision to parties. So I'm pretty sure this game was on Intellivision, and it was similar to Defender, but if you shot too many times at once your ship would overheat and blow up. Anyone know what the title of this game would be? Edited October 24, 2016 by rednakes1
+thegoldenband
It's probably Nova Blast (I'm guessing), but that also sounds like Parsec on the TI-99/4A:
+intvsteve
I don't think Nova Blast on Intellivision has an overheat issue from firing too much -- that game is all ABOUT firing too much. …. Nothing comes to mind.
+thegoldenband
Right, I should say: if it really was Intellivision, I'm guessing it was Nova Blast, but I suspect it may actually be Parsec on the TI-99/4A (or the OP has combined the two games in his/her memory).

rednakes1
Thank you, I probably got the systems mixed up! Sorry, I was only about 5 or 6 From the videos I watched of Parsec, that seems to be the one. The one I remember had the status text showing at the bottom too.
