Price check on a basic Apple IIGS setup

Just wanted to see if anybody had a basic Apple IIGS setup(monitor, keyboard, mouse, some kind of floppy drive, maybe joystick) and get an idea of what they're going for. Fascinating little system.

Hmm... I have a spare rom 01 IIgs with a monitor and keyboard, but no floppy drive (well I have a spare 5.25" but no 3.5"). No idea what they go for these days either. I'll have to do some research.

This probably doesn't help much but I sold an apple 2 gs set up like the one you described for 200 4 or 5 years ago, so probably more than that

I paid $250 plus shipping for my full setup including 4 drives (2 5.25", 2 3.5") and monitor, in reasonable but not mint condition.

 

I think that's still about the going rate, although for a non-yellowed, mint condition system you'll pay more, and for a system with any extras beyond what's required you'll pay more. I might have gotten a *bit* of a deal getting all those drives; most systems I've seen don't come with four. But $250-$300 for a setup with all you need to get started is about what I still see them going for.

Yeah that seems alright for a rom 01 setup, a rom 3 setup will go for more though. Shipping is a killer though.

I'm sure it varies by region. Those monitors are getting hard to find in working condition though.

It looks like the monitor/multiple floppies are the real killers(not even counting the expansion cards). I appreciate your taking the time out to do a bit of research. Those prices are a bit high for me right now so i'll put it on the back burner and keep a look out for a slightly cheaper entry point.
