I get "You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file".in Gallery And "Error this upload failed" in Blogs. Pictures that are large will fail weirdly. In the past I'veI tried uploading a png that was 3000 pixels by 2800 pixels and it failed similar to yours instead of returning a message more appropriate to the real problem.
