Uhmm what is it?

Flicker fixer/scan doubler so you can use your Amiga with modern VGA/LCD monitors. Promotes PAL images too, so no more monkeying around with settings, worrying about screen rolling, chopped images, etc.

Let us know how you like it cjames! I bought one a couple of years ago and never took it out of the packaging. lol Guess I like using my old Amiga monitors with my computers, but figured some day, might want to hook a larger screen to one of them.

So i installed it and right away i see a huge issue...The cable is way too short for anything useful. Other than letting it hang loose from out of the case (which is not an option) it wont even reach any area where the connector can be mounted.

So first thing i did was take the cable apart and solder in a much longer cable.

I'm working on a video review with some game play & functionality tests and will be posting that soon.

Ehh...the heck with it. I am cutting the hole for the VGA as well...you have inspired me :) I have a 10 pin IDC extension laying around here so I won't have to resolder the cable. Individual really should have included a bit longer cable especially for the price of this thing. I'll post pics as well when I'm done. Just waiting for the A500+ recapped motherboard I ordered to arrive :)

Not nearly as smooth as yours but at least I didn't totally bork it up :) Hard to do these types of things with two daughters and a dog bugging the crap out of you at the same time. But, it works and is functional. I was going to smooth out the bottom but it gives the VGA cable a snugness that I like since there are no bolts anymore :)

Looking forward to your review. Me, I love it! It makes me wonder why oh WHY did I fart around with attempting to get old Commodore displays when this thing was available. I know, nostalgic displays and all...but this is just awesome. I picked up a $5 Dell ultrasharp 4:3 display at Goodwill last week and it is fantastic. Probably one of the best purchases (next to my Ultimate II+ and CFFA3000) I have made this year. Can't speak for the ACA500+ as that is still coming :)
