All, Please note that a demo version of the game will soon be available at http://www.ti99iuc.it/web/index.php?pageid=165&pagina=sala_giochi&sezione=5 thanks to Ciro Barile from the TI 99 Italian User Club.

Also the link to purchase cartridge is https://www.arcadeshopper.com/wp/?page_id=11#!/Break-Free-Solid-State-Cartridge/p/75260756/category=15846003 thanks to Greg.

I have an idea to discuss with all the TI-99/4A enthusiasts in here, I am thinking of giving away one cartridge to the person who gets the highest score and shares the score with the rest of us.

A screen shot of the highest score will need to be posted on the game's FB page http://www.facebook.com/breakfreehof.

Once I get at least 30 distinct people sharing their High Score on the FB Page mentioned I will then start counting exactly two weeks from that day. This will give anyone who was beaten to try and improve his/her score.

So spread the word and play the game, comment and challenge others and see if you can be the champion :)

Game can be played : http://www.js99er.net/or http://www.ti99iuc.it/web/index.php?pageid=165&pagina=sala_giochi&sezione=5/ using Google Chrome.

Sorry Davvel, but the Atariage forums are about as close to 'social media' as I get. You might find that more than a few of us old farts don't do facebook or twitter. (in my mind it is just more internet tracking and corporate marketing)

Great game though, arrived a couple days ago, and it's been a great holiday time-filler!

No problem PeBo, you gave me a great idea, I can shift the posting to an Atari Age thread. I should have thought of that before.

I am glad the game brought you some TI fun :)

Happy New Year.

  • 5 weeks later...

Thank you for releasing a new game for the beloved (but often overlooked when compared to Atari, Apple, or Commodore computers) TI-99! I will be taking a closer look at hopefully later this weekend. May have to purchase a copy for my 99 as well!

TI 99 is a special machine in my heart, as it was the very first machine I ever had. I do not consider it as slow or limited, but different and challenging. Many great developers like Tursi, Rasmus, Ksarul, RalphB, Rich,Lee and many many more are showing the greatness of this underrated machine, which is going from strength to strength in hardware and software. 2017 will be another great year for all TI 99ers. Users around the world should turn on their machines and start sharing their awesome experiences.

Thanks.

David
