RevEng
The subject says it all. This hack removes the flashing background effects from beamrider. Beamrider - no flashing screen.bin I actually did this one years ago, but figured nobody except RT was interested. Enjoy!
+save2600
Cool! When going through my collections and weeding out games I know I'd never play, decided to get rid of my boxed copy strictly due to that white strobe'y seizure inducing flash. Will have to throw this in the Harmony and give it a try soon, thanks!
+GoldLeader
Thanks for this! I just played it on my Atari FB Portable... It is pretty awesome! I don't mind the flashing that much, but admittedly this one's easier on the eyes. It would have been cool if this was a hidden menu option BITD. Or even a Selectable version. If I had programmed that game I would have made only special enemies cause a screen flash...

As I'm adding it to my VCS homebrew list..... or if you have the original posting link - either would help. Thanks! Thanks for this! I just played it on my Atari FB Portable... It is pretty awesome! Looks like our AFBP's will breathe new life into old homebrews and hacks!
RevEng
How many years back? As I'm adding it to my VCS homebrew list..... or if you have the original posting link - either would help. Thanks! It was October 2009, but it wasn't public... I sent a PM to RandomTerrain, who would often complain about the flashing. I didn't share it publicly at the time because I wasn't sure of the status of Activision hacks. I knew that Activision has requested removal of their roms from AA at one point. Thanks for the kind words on the hack, guys!
