RF to HDMI converter box to connect old consoles to modern TV?

On paper, I do not see any reason why this would not work...... RF in and HDMI out......

First of all, if that was what you thought it was, at that price the video conversion/upscalling would be so slow as balls that it introduced too much lag to be worthwhile..

 

That said though... that thing looks to be listed as a converter box for getting modern digital TV signals on an older TV.. The RF input is probably only for digital TV, not old school television signals.

yeah, the spec says

Converts digital broadcasts to your analog TV

The Ematic AT103B Digital Converter box allows your TV without a digital tuner to receive new digital broadcasts.

which makes it a modulator rather than a demodulator.

OP will require a demodulator to convert any RF signal to scart/AV/HDMI or Composite.

the cheapest way to do so is to use a VHS recorder or DVD player with RF-in
