gfvh
Hello, I don't want to ruin anybody's Christmas but I finished a very crude racing game (not as crude as another racing game I posted here). I promise myself to improve it through time. It's a motorcycle racing game that's a bit strategic, because you go faster when you go by the middle of the road instead by the sides, but in the middle is where the cars are and you have to avoid them. When you reach the "sea", you start again with more fuel (and a different background color). If you go out of fuel you can still ride but if you "touch" a car you stop and cannot start the bike again. I want to improve the lines of the track because they are really crude, I want to make them smoother in the curves. That's for later. Thanks and Merry Christmas! car.bin carrera14.1.txt
Rhindle the Dragon
Wow, it looks like you put a lot of work into this. I like the pseudo-3D perspective; I thought it was going to be kind of like Excitebike at first. Keep polishing it; you might have a winner here! Greenfuzz
Any chance you can post a video?
gfvh
Here it is: Sorry I post the link but I don't know how to embed videos. EDIT: It embedded automatically EDIT 2: I could make a much more smoother curve, implemented with a list of values which define how much to the left the left border is. I didn't had a list before but dividided the screen in 3 and the upper part had one value, the middle another value, and the bottom part another value, that's why the curves are like broken, in 3 parts, not smooth. gfvh
A more smooth curved road. It's a bit repetitive but I don't have too much space for a more "long" road. car2.bin carrera15.5.txt Edited December 30, 2016 by gfvh

Thomas Jentzsch
for using Assembler!
gfvh
Thank you, Thomas! Though the code is a mess. I even don't know how many cycles each instruction takes, don't count them, it's more like blind guessing
Rhindle the Dragon
If you can count the cycles, I think you might be able to make the gameplay smoother. Just an idea. Edited January 1, 2017 by Rhindle the Dragon
