Thanks a lot for your hard work and all the stats. Out of those numbers, I'm most impressed that we've covered 128 more or less unique systems over the time of the tracker, with more pre Y2K systems out there not yet played.

Acorn Electron:
2. Microball (68)
4. Micro Pinball (22)

I believe I've made a mistake here, in that I mislabeled Microball as Micro Pinball. These two titles reflect the same game, so you probably want to merge them as 90 min.

MSX:
2. Comic Bakery (218)

MSX2:
8. Comic Bakery (10)
8. Dynamite Bowl (10)

It appears Comic Bakery doesn't exist in a MSX2 enhanced version, so those 10 minutes probably should be merged with the MSX1 entry. As for Dynamite Bowl, it was first released for MSX2 and one year later for MSX1 so I'll suppose whoever played it knew which version it was.

Actually the (rare) MSX1 "demake" seems easier on the eyes than the first MSX2 release...

MSX1: http://www.generatio...l/release/3211/

Done -- but sadly, that means the Acorn Electron only has 9 games logged now, and no longer qualifies for a listing. :( Pity its neighbor, the poor AdventureVision, which may never qualify...

Done. Man, MSX/MSX2 is a perennial gotcha.

Well, if nothing else it inspires me to bring out the Electron and try to find that 10th game eventually. :)

A HUGE THANK YOU to thegoldenband.    Those all time lists are incredibly long.  Hope you have some sort of program to sort through all of that.

Thank you for another great year and thanks to everyone who participated.

Those were some seriously huge (and seriously fun to read) statistic lists thegoldenband! I've always loved reading through the year end wrap up lists and this year was no exception. Doing my own little household year end statistics wrap up gives me a real appreciation for what an enormous amount of work you put into maintaining the tracker and and crunching all the numbers. Speaking of which…

In 2017 my household played 293 games on 19 systems, with a total video game play time of 72,817 minutes (50 days 13 hours 37 minutes, averaging out to 3 hours and 19 minutes a day). That was 130 games less than we played in 2016 but only 405 minutes less of total gaming time than last year's total of 73,222 minutes, and the same number of systems were played around here in both 2016 and 2017. Interestingly my household's average amount of gaming time per day was almost identical over the last two years, with an average of 3 hours and 20 minutes per day in 2016 and just one minute less per day this year.

My Household's Top 10 Most Played Games of 2017
1. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (Nintendo Wii) - 3,758 minutes
2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo Wii) - 2,522 minutes
3. Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (Sony PlayStation) - 2,444 minutes
4. Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Nintendo Wii) - 2,436 minutes
5. 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (Nintendo DS) - 1,955 minutes
6. Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Nintendo Wii) - 1,649 minutes
7. Pac-Man Collection (Atari 7800) - 1,499 minutes
8. Kirby's Epic Yarn (Nintendo Wii) - 1,482 minutes
9. Diablo (Sony PlayStation) - 1,286 minutes
10. Star Fox Adventures (Nintendo GameCube) - 1,271 minutes

My Household's Top Consoles/Platforms of 2017
1. Nintendo Wii: 18,981 minutes
2. Sony PlayStation: 13,400 minutes
3. Atari 7800: 7,558 minutes
4. Atari 2600: 5,386 minutes
5. Nintendo 3DS: 4,715 minutes
6. Nintendo GameCube: 4,492 minutes
7. Game Boy Color: 4,131 minutes
8. Game Boy: 3,488 minutes
9. Nintendo DS: 2,442 minutes
10. PC-DOS: 2,043 minutes
11. Sega Genesis: 1,557 minutes
12. Game Boy Advance: 1,534 minutes

And finally, you can find the full list of every game played in my household over the past year and their corresponding play times in the spoiler tag below. :)

Probably because year 2003 didn't happen before year 2000. There is a brand new tracker for modern systems starting now, it would be right place to list Nokia N-Gage.

Yes indeed, anyone who has N-Gage times should post them to the modern gaming tracker:

Did I seriously clock that much time on Lawnmower Man?

I mean I know that you usually put crazy amounts of time into a serious speedrun, been doing that with Goldeneye for a large portion of my life, but that's just my half without counting my partner for the co-op bit... man that makes me feel nuts.

Thanks for running this @goldenband as it's always enjoyable - can't wait to see what I put way too much time into on the next years tracker alongside all the odd crap I'll throw on the modern gaming one.

Bally Astrocade:
1. Muncher (126)
2. Incredible Wizard, The (99)
3. Cosmic Raiders (92)
4. Galactic Invasion (41)
5. Candyman (40)
6. Ballypin (30)
7. Astro Battle (25)
7. Space Fortress (25)
9. Brickyard (15)
10. Gunfight (11)

I think I'm responsible for like 40% of all of this already.  Forget about 1000 min games, Maybe 2018 is the year to get the Astrocade to 1000 mins as a system.

Well, it looks like some systems' Top 10 charts have been heavily influenced by what I've played over the last years, which often even holds the #1 spot. This especially holds true for the Amiga, Apple II, Arcade, C-64, Emerson Arcadia 2001, Fairchild Channel F, MSX, SG-1000 and VIC-20 charts. Especially my love for all kinds of versions of Q*bert and Turtles show on many of the charts. ;-)

Since the Amiga charts show the game Betrayal I've also extensively played, I think I never mentioned that after I'd drawn up a map, I realized that the game area, especially when mapped out, actually shows a similarity to my home city of Vienna. There's that river flowing from the upper to the right border in a similar manner to the Danube flowing through Vienna, also with several bridges over it. Some of the roads that run through the map also correspond to main roads of Vienna. Therefore, I've scanned and posted the map I've made of the game. On the map you can see that I've numbered the various towns and written their original names on them, however, on top of the map, I've made a list of alternate names for the towns which correspond to their location on the map if you view it as a map of Vienna. Thus these are the names of Viennese districts and sub-districts (you know, those parts that once were separate towns before they were merged into the city of Vienna). I think there hasn't been a German version of this game, but if there had been one, the game could have been easily relocated to Vienna and the location names changed accordingly without actually changing the map.

Well... as listed in the Wikipedia, there have only been 4 games released (+ one homebrew demo) for the Adventurevision. No homebrews so far...

I just wonder which games would be feasible on the Adventurevision. Flappy Bird maybe?

Done -- but sadly, that means the Acorn Electron only has 9 games logged now, and no longer qualifies for a listing. :( Pity its neighbor, the poor AdventureVision, which may never qualify...
