Syzygy1
If you've seen my latest posts, you probably already know who the Robot Force are. They're the characters that star in my stories for several Atari 2600 games, almost like the Star System. A quick rundown: the leader is Captain TOM, who's always getting himself kidnapped, Commander DAN, who can take on even the most daring of challenges, and RUBY, the most lovely, charismatic woman. Together, they defend the galaxy, along with their ship's holographic, self-aware AI SARA. I want to make a game about them, but I know next to nothing about Atari 2600 programming. Can you give me a hand and teach me how to make Atari homebrews?
gauauu
Some kind folks have already done so: Spiceware's collect tutorial Andrew Davie's Atari 2600 Programming for Newbies (nicely collected and formatted by Random Terrain) Batari Basic Tutorial, if you're afraid of learning assembly

TheMajorHavoc
Sounds like you need something easier and faster to learn than 6502 assembly. Try Batari Basic! Make sure you download Visual Batari Basic IDE. It has graphic editors for sprites and the playfield Go here! http://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html There is plenty of code examples there also Stick with it and I'm sure in no time we will see a Robot Force 2600 !
