DuggerVideoGames Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Flipper Slipper [skill 1]: 13,350 pts. I like the other games in this round; however, I'm not a fan of Flipper Slipper. The controls are absolutely atrocious in this game. Sometimes the flippers just refuse to tilt/angle themselves, and that's very damning to your score when the game speeds up and you don't get the control response you're expecting. After posting my new totals in this post, I shall sit out the rest of the round and give somebody else a chance to win this round. Kudos to whoever tops these scores and totals. I know Mangia is quite good at the Spectron game. In the next day or two, I might post a video of Frantic Freddy to show how to effectively rack up your score (the purple fires are not as difficult to evade as you would think). It's just a matter of surviving as many of the first screens as possible for high scores, even rollage I'm sure. if Dugger doesn't post a video I can put one together. DuggerVideoGames Posted January 10, 2017 Share Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) Well, I didn't do nearly as well in this video as I did yesterday; nevertheless, this video demonstrates how you can patiently wait for the fires to cross the screen while you're hanging on the pipes. If you're quick enough, you can get to the top much sooner and complete the level with a much larger timer bonus.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzqBfb9Qhqo Not in the video: for the first time, I tried skill 3 to see this cat-saving part NCG was talking about. I had no problems whatsoever saving the cats on the debris level; however, saving them on the pipe level was far more difficult. I was able to save several of them on the pipe level, but I'm not very efficient at it yet. First time on Skill 3, I finished with a meager 3,110 points. Edit: I just now realized NCG added cat-saving as a +2 bonus. Had I realized that sooner, I would have filmed myself saving a few of those cats. I'll get around to posting pics or video of it later.
