+LS650
Sounds like the seller couldn't be bothered to plug it and test it, so you may well be bidding on a dud.
kyle
Looks brand new. I'm with you though he should test it. I've been outbid anyway lol
+groundtrooper
Wow. Nice. But would be nice if it was tested. Granted I know people who could get it up and running if it is dead.
kyle
I seriously doubt it's dead The console still has the plastic on it and Styrofoam
+groundtrooper
No doubt it is in great shape. The only thing I question is did the 7800's come with a protecting plastic over the "metal name strip". I know the 5200's did. I have seen them fresh out of the box that way. Granted I guess it could have been peeled off maybe once and then put back in the box. I do own a very early (Purple Text Box) CIB 7800. I was very gently used. was VERY CLEAN and complete when I bought it from a member here in October of last year, I have my eye on this. I would like to have both box variations, but I am not sure if I can justify it just for that reason. I already have 3 7800's. I don't know if I need a fourth that I know I won't play,
+LS650
I've been burnt more than once by 'as is' untested items on eBay. Sure, it _looks_ like new... Good luck with your bidding. Edited January 14, 2017 by ls650

Granted I guess it could have been peeled off maybe once and then put back in the box. They did come with a protective plastic over the name plate. I picked up a slightly used one (CIB) about this same time last year and the power cord came inside a plastic wrapping within its box. The person that sold that one had tested it, so I took a chance and have been very happy with it. I was fortunate to win the bid (for less than this unit is currently going for) and picked it up myself while I was traveling to Atlanta. This one appears to be close to mint. Stun Runner 87
Power cord does not look unused.. Good observation on your part. I noticed that too.

+Yurkie
Most likely the seller will tape the box shut and slap shipping label on it, or throw it in another box with no packing material at all.
+save2600
^ Yup. Still happens all_the_time. Gotta write to people explaining just how to ship things, else you'll end up disappointed more often than not.
