simbalion
Some of you might recall that I mentioned having finally found a local, classic arcade at the mall that had a Super Pac-Man. I was so happy as this was the first Super Pac-Man I had been able to play in roughly 30 years. Unfortunately, it suddenly disappeared soon after that, but I had hoped it was simply in for repairs as I know those units can be touchy. Tonight I visited the mall and that arcade and asked the owner what had happened to the Super Pac-Man. Turns out he sold it! It's not a true arcade, but more of a show room for his online arcade game sales! Argh! There is no indication of that at all in the arcade, no signs or prices on the games at all. I just shook my head and left, very disappointed and (after the rotten evening I had already had) decided I will probably not be going to the mall anymore. This just reinforces the fact that in order to enjoy these games, I have to try and own them myself. I can't rely on there being anyplace in this dump I live in having decent games that I can just go and play. On a bit of a related note, I think I am going to start doing most of my shopping on Amazon. Was a bad evening and that fake arcade was just the icing on the cake for me. Crimefighter
Well, game sales actually sustain keeping some of these places open... If you're looking for a particular game - you should search for it on this site -- http://aurcade.com Known Super Pac locations -- http://aurcade.com/games/view.aspx?id=220 Edited February 24, 2017 by Crimefighter
simbalion
I would be alright if the place had been up front about selling games. Like I said, there is nothing posted in the place or on the games. The owner made it clear that all the games are repaired and put up for sale. simbalion
Dover, Ohio. If there is a point that is farthest away from the sun, that's where my town and area is at. Not a good place for hobbies like retro gaming or retro arcade gaming. Sorry, I'm feeling very flustered tonight. Ask him if he has a warehouse with a lot more stock. Which part of Ohio are you in? racerx
I think underground retrocade is doing that too. No. I've sold Scott stuff but as far as I know he's not selling, or using his place as a showroom.
