+DrVenkman
Just like it says on the tin, gentlemen (and ladies if any are reading). My geriatric MacBook Pro has been put to pasture and I now have a blazingly fast Win10 box with an i7-6820HK chip, 16GB of DDR4 ram, etc. Now I need to learn how to compile software, specifically RespeQt. Anyone have a simple list of tools I need to download and install? I'm presuming the easiest way will be to download the full-up Qt Creator package for Windows use that, but I also presume that aside from Qt, I'll need to install some kind of C compiler, and so on. Thanks for any pointers and tips.
TheMontezuma
I recommend the following download: https://download.qt.io/official_releases/qt/5.7/5.7.1/qt-opensource-windows-x86-mingw530-5.7.1.exe It is an official Qt bundle containing a mingw compiler. Version 5.7.1 is the last version supporting Windows XP - if you don't care - get version 5.8: https://download.qt.io/official_releases/qt/5.8/5.8.0/qt-opensource-windows-x86-mingw530-5.8.0.exe
