Special Teams
Wait.....Will's real name isn't Will? [intellivisionaries] Will is his last name. His first name is Virtual.
Rev
It's hard to say. Most people who buy them probably don't care which version they get (or even know there are multiple versions). I might have been overthinking that day Probably so. But its ok.
First Spear
http://www.cbs8.com/story/35628466/atgames-announces-the-atari-flashback-8-gold-activision-edition-console If there is going to be an Intellivision Flashback 2, maybe it could get Activision games like the new Atari VCS model.
+BBWW
My son has crashed two of my Ultimate Flashbacks. I hope to find so time this weekend to figure out what has gone wrong. LOL A weekend might do it.
1980gamer
BBWW, I haven't tried this yet, but could you do a chmod to write protect the emu folders. I don't know if temp data need to be written in the same location?
IMBerzerk
Wow... 130 games... http://www.atgames.net/#/ Just click on any of the Atari versions... looks really cool, as the other releases. But to play Kaboom, you really need the paddle. Can the originals be used with this?
Flojomojo
The Gold Activision box comes with paddles, and there are controller ports for using old paddles on all 3 variants. It seems like this edition has been thought out nicely. This is the only one that matters. http://www.atgames.us/Atari-Flashback-8-Gold-Activision-Edition-AVT.htm The others are nice, but why bother with them, especially the analog output one. If you're gonna play on a CRT you probably want the old stuff anyway. Ready to buy this as soon as it's possible to do that. It would make a nice family Xmas gift but I want it sooner! mr_me
Some news here. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/263467-at-games-intellivision-flashback-2-coming-this-fall/?p=3787583 OK, I will NOT go into detail at this time, but positive momentum on something from AtGames that's Intellivision-related that could be a whole lot better than previously anticipated is now underway. If things work out, look for an official announcement in a few months and availability towards the end of the year. To be clear, I'm just posting this update as a courtesy because of the previous all-too-early leaks and then stalls with the progress, so please take what I'm saying for what it is at this point in time, i.e., confirmation that there's hope again for a great new Intellivision product in 2017. Thanks.

Greg2600
Interesting. Perhaps Keith's last great contribution to the INTV?
ArcadeJunkie
Would be nice to have it themed to the inty ii version...
+nurmix
Punctuation, man, punctuation! That would be K&R. A colleague at work mentioned that classic, and a second colleague looked at us with a blank stare... "What's that?". Man, did that make me feel old. So I loaned my copy to her. I'm old. And I have no idea what this is referencing.
mr_me
I'm old. And I have no idea what this is referencing. You have to not only be old but also an old programmer.
+nurmix
You have to not only be old but also an old programmer. Does Atari BASIC with some machine language subroutines and Player Missile Graphics ability count? http://www.nurmix.com/A_DL.htm (scroll down to the Atari 400/800/XL/XE section for some of my original stuff) Edited June 29, 2017 by nurmix
mr_me
That's a little too old. : )

Wait... isn't revoking an Old Man card actually a good thing?
