Ugly Effect

I can't stand playing such an ugly duckface, I hate seeing my Charakter in every Single chat or cut scene. Apparently Part of the Experience of enjoying Video games and identifying with my Charakter is looking good or cool.

 

Kinda interesting to know this about myself, I just wish it wouldn't ruin my favourite game Series. At the moment I'm wondering whether I should just quit playing - maybe they can fix this with a Patch? I just want my old Shepard back, she was perfect.

I don't really think I've ever been really been turned off to a game completely just on the basis of a character's looks. If you want to see some really ugly characters then check out the cut scenes in Battlestations: Midway.

 

I know it's different when you're a big fan of a series and the looks get worse in the newest installment, but I experienced that throughout the entire Jak & Daxter series. Sure the characters didn't get worse graphically (aside from Lost Frontier, on PSP) but Jak just got increasingly 'edgy' to no benefit and Daxter went to a more realistic model that actually took away from his humorous cartoon-y personality.

 

So yea I feel ya, OP.

I won't be buying the game because I played the first 3 as the female character. From all the screen captures and videos I've seen, the devs seem to have gone out of their way to make the female characters look like living pumpkins.

I hear that the guy is looking better, but I usually prefer looking at a womans back for 60+ hours
