Recycling Thread!

I have a bundle of DVDs that have been sitting for years and I figured I'd see if anyone on AA is interested in trading for these. As usual, I'm looking for Atari games for most of the systems and other odds and ends too.

These DVD's are all well kept and looked after, no scratches or marks. A number of them are out of print and probably hard to find. They are all mainly music, cult film and wrestling - see the list and pictures below. I'd love to trade them as a lot but if your after certain ones thats ok too.

PM me with any questions.

This is really nice work! My only issue with most of these that I see, is that it isn't possible to use a PBC on it any longer. At least, not without cutting away the plastic on the PBC so the new ports aren't in the way. I haven't done the component mod myself, but I've found that if you stick to the extreme left side on the back of the console, that you can at least keep the RCAs there without impacting use of the PBC, and I usually remove the RF modulator completely and put the s-video jack in the place of where the channel switch used to be. I wish the opening for the RCA was just a mm smaller in diameter as then you could just run the s-video jack through there. But all the s-video jacks I've used can still pop through the opening.

What about going similar with the audio and comp as you did with the component? Could then fit all three to the far left for a nice clean look.

Where do you go to get the 3 type 1/8" plugs anyway? I don't believe any of my local electronic stores offer them.

Thanks Crossbow :) Yeah it totally doesn't allow you to use the PBC - it crossed my mind before modding it but it was a bit more complicated with squeezing the S-video, etc over. I've done the whole remove the RF and that 9pin VGA plug and grafted plastic to make it look somewhat stock but it can become a mess.

The 4 pole TRRS plug that has the RGB dongle is from the Tim Worthington component kit he offers for his RGB NES mods. An electronics store I go to does sell them but wants $6 a piece. I'm not sure if they are readily available on eBay or not.

Since I have a modded Genesis similar to this, yes, you can use the 32x and Sega CD just fine.

The 32x would still require the gen1 to gen2 adapter and plug into the AV in on the 32x. But then you loose all of these cool video out's since you have to use the 32x AV out to get the combined the Genesis and 32x video. This is why I ended up adding s-video to my 32x separately as well.

The sega CD on the other hand will be golden because it will use all of the video out methods that have been added.

So only if you went with a 32x would all these video mods essentially be wasted for you. Unless you also purchased a like modded 32x.
