Opry99er
//EDIT// Meant to post in a different section... sorry! So, it looks like 5.25" disks are going for between $1-$2 a piece these days... I am looking for a consistent stream of media for some projects. I have my cassette source and LOVE the services and products they provide. Are there any 5.25" floppy manufacturers out there anymore, or is the market entirely an NOS or USED market these days? Not too long ago, you could pick up a hundred used floppies on eBay for $15-20... not so anymore. Edited April 15, 2017 by Opry99er
RXB
I have not used a 5.25 floppy since the second they started selling 3.5 drives. Most drives I have used come from old PC computers and work fine.
Opry99er
Yea, Roger that... but umm, I suddenly find myself with a working 5.25 drive for the first time in years and I am getting ready to release a game and I need some diskettes. I also am getting an Apple IIe with DuoDisk and I am in need of some floppity flops for that as well...
+Ksarul
I think there is only one manufacturer of 5.25 disks left in the world, Athana. They do new runs of disks as their stocks run out, but anything you get from them will be the newest disks you can get from anyone. . .note that you have to ask them on what their current prices are. Also, the minimum order is $100 per disk type ordered. Here's someone with a lot of NOS disks. They've been around a long time too, and their prices are reasonable. Opry99er
I just ordered 100 NOS sealed disks from eBay. I hope they aren't DOA. What are you looking to get for your disks, sir? I plan on utilizing quite a few disks in the next 6 months for various projects.
