Interesting Things About Taiwan Master Component Box

Recommended Posts

I got this Taiwan system a while ago but it did not have styrofoam inserts so I thought I would move some from anoter box and use them. Come to find out the Taiwan box is 1 in taller than the standard Hong Kong version box. Also note on the side of the box it refers to the Master Component. Another quick find is the lettering on the side of the Taiwan is white in large letter and the Hong Kong is yellow with small letters. Also note they are playing football (with brown borders where on my Flash they are blue) instead of poker and blackjack. The front and back screen shots are the same. There is no serial number on the box.

Just in case you wanted to know.

I have a loose Taiwan console, but the SN sticker fell off before I acquired it. IMO, it's rarer than the USA model. The Taiwan LV P&B is relatively rare as well and has it's own box design not used for any other game (that I know of).

I screenshoted a few Taiwan consoles from eBay a while back. Models 2609A. Serials were AT 1096023 & AT 1183520.

Can you post a good picture of the bottom of the Taiwan console.

Made in Taiwan Intellivisions seem pretty rare. Maybe more rare than made in USA consoles. Anyone else have the made in Taiwan 2609? What are the serial numbers?

Hi, here is the bottom and close up of the stickers. Also, ever seen a hand written SN? Here is one on my System III unit.

I find it quite common to have the SN sticker missing. I too have one. There seems that most on ebay are missing the SN sticker.
