Opry99er
My CD-ROM is dead on my Mac... no big deal, really, but but I have a few games that I think REQUIRE CD-ROM to run. I can DL digital backups (iso files) to burn to disc, but that doesn't help me.... unless, or course, there were a way to run these games from the HD without the CD-ROM. I have plenty of hard drive space. The 7th Guest is the game I am most sad about, but we also use the 3d Atlas and play Wacky Jacks as well. H454
Ide or SCSI? What mac model? It may require some extra steps, but there are non apple drives that work on macs.

H454
Well, that sucks. The old macs are the best macs.
Flojomojo
Doesn't matter now... my power/video board died. Machine is toast. Ashes to ashes ... at least you can play 7th Guest on modern Mac, Windows, IOS, and Android. Gog version is six dollars. https://www.gog.com/game/the_7th_guest
