I have been looking for an accelerator card for awhile now. I am not about to (nor can I afford) an ebay priced TranswarpGS. People had told me "just check some IIGS systems and you might get lucky", but good luck with that. I can't even find IIGS systems to check! :) I lucked out bigtime with finding one locally (a mint ROM3 version) and finding an affordable CFFA3000 so I really cannot complain....but damn man. You open the first IIGS and find one? If you find one in the five other machines you obtained I give up. :)

If I find that many it sounds like I'll have to take a few years to sell them all!

I don't know why nobody tries producing an accelerator card today. I guess it's too complicated? Seems like there's an obvious market for one.

It's still pretty niche. Technically a IIgs accelerator shouldn't be much different than any other. More complex circuits have been made by hobbyists.

It seems like it'd be less niche than memory cards or sound boards, though, and we have both of those. I feel like for the Apple IIGS especially, accelerator cards would end up being considered kind of a must-have item if one were readily available, similar to the CFFA3000.

Come on, somebody do it!

Where would an Echo+ fit in? I have one with the installation disk.

There is a "new" Game that supports the Echo+:
Alien Clonepure

With graphics "borrowed from Michael Packard's Alien Downpour..
