WTB: Editor/Assembler cart and disks

Does anyone have an Editor/Assembler cart and the disks that they would be willing to part with for a reasonable amount of money? Free is better, but you know..... lol

I have a binder and manual in EXCELLENT condition- I'd like to start learning Assembly so need the cart and would like to have the supplementary disks as well.

Please PM me if you do.

Thanks!

Nathan

I bought a NIB E/A manual+cart+disks on Ebay some years ago. Every time I check there seems to be a few available. I have not checked lately though, and not free... but available.

As for getting into assembly, I *highly* recommend you learn using emulation and save trying it on real metal just for fun once you are competent. The xdt99 tools, modern text editor, and Classic99 are the way to go IMO. You can get a very streamlined build system that way.

These are all really good points, thank you all!

I'm still going to poke around for the cart and disks because I love messing with it up close and in person but I can see what you guys are talking about. I'll hunt around too, for one of the suite carts.

I really appreciate the time everyone puts in to answer my billion questions and requests.

On the XB Suite cartridges, you have several options: purchase one from me or from Arcadeshopper, or buy an UberGROM board and an Atmel1284P to burn one yourself (assuming you have a suitable programmer for both the ROM and the Atmel 1284P). Lastly, I'm pretty sure the Suites will run on one of the FinalGROM boards as well. It all depends on your needs and how you like to do things. These are definitely good times for the TI! :) :) :)

I got a spare Editor/Assembler cart, the disks, and the manual... they aren't NIB or shrink-wrapped but they're solid. Although I haven't tested the floppy disks in a LONG time.

It would be pricey to ship, since the binder's so heavy, but PM me if you are interested.
