I worked on my game for a few hours today. I was able to make the oranges edible on the first try and not have to move code around to make the thing work, so that was good. I had to make Bob a little shorter so he could only touch one orange instead of two at the same time. I needed to do this so the code that determines which orange got eaten would work properly. So I redesigned the sprites that make up Bob. And then I tested the game on real hardware. It plays fine. This does not mean the game is done, however. I still need to work on a few things. I discovered that store I thought closed for good was not closed for good, they just decided to open an hour later on Sundays. Which means the store now opens at noon. Which is dumb since the other store I go to opens at 10am every day, even Sundays. I mean really, you have to sleep in until at least 10am on Sunday? What kind of moron does that? Well, not me, unless I'm not on a "regular" sleep cycle. I got 9 hours of sleep last night. I usually get at least 10. I went to sleep at 8:30 or so. I woke up at 5am to go to the bathroom. I had to trick the dumb cat into thinking I was still in bed asleep since if she knows I'm up, she'd want to go in the bathroom with me. I don't need nor want a cat when I'm trying to go to the bathroom. And then she'd meow her head off because she would want breakfast. The cat acts as though we starve her to death, but that's not the case. So, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, eating oranges. You can do that in the game now.
