+darryl1970 Posted May 25, 2017 Share Posted May 25, 2017 I do not know which Everdrive I have for my Genesis, but I have been able to play most of the hacks I've tried, and I don't have to do any crazy save stuff. I think it's the original run, since I bought it in July of 2014. Anyway, I couldn't figure out why I suddenly couldn't bring up the in-game menu one day. I was also unable to load my SMS ROMs. Kind of a DUH moment. I had the 32X plugged in. The MegaEverdrive plays 32X games, which is pretty cool, but it will break your game in-game menu (save states) for regular Genesis games. The 32X also blocks SMS compatibility. It's kind of a pain to disconnect all of those video cables, so I just set up 2 Genesis consoles. One is a plain Genesis1. The other is a Genesis2, SegaCD2, and 32X. That way, less hassle.
