Arnuphis
AmiWest is the premier Amiga show in North America. For 20 years AmiWest has provided a haven for like-minded individuals to come and celebrate all things Amiga. The show has seen the introduction of new Amiga hardware and software. We have seen CEOs of Amiga companies come and go. Through it all our goal has to been to create an environment for all Amigas, classics, compatibles, and next-generation systems users can come together and share ideas and good times. Every year we work hard to improve the show experience by having themes and seeking out the leaders of the community to join us and you for the weekend. Since 1998 the show has been internet enabled. Starting with an IRC, then audio broadcast, to today where video and audio are broadcast and posted to YouTube in near real-time. http://amiwest.net/ So, Amiwest turns 20 this year and will be held (as always) in Sunny Sacramento. Since this is a special occasion, the club who organizes it have asked for suggestions on how to boost attendance this year. I suggested booth babes but I think they thought I was joking. So, if you have never been to the Amiga-tastic weekend, what would make you come? I personally would like it to embrace all Commodore stuff including the 8-bits so if there is enough interest in that they could maybe add a table or two for that purpose. Anyway, over to you. +save2600
Amiwest would have to be Amimidwest in order for me to want to go.
Arnuphis
People from the UK, Germany, Brazil and New Zealand came last year. They had to travel across oceans. Just sayin' But I understand if cost of travel is prohibitive. I recently bought a house so that seriously crippled my travel plans this year. towmater
Being able to leave with an A1200 that cost less than $300? That'd get me on the 5 north.
